Multimedia

Example: Swissport International Ltd., Zurich Airport

Multimedia productions, in which text, photography, graphics, animations, audio, video and website content are combined, form a significant part of today’s business. Increasingly sought after is a combination of physical and digital content, for example books that incorporate USB sticks containing complimentary information.

In over 190 airports around the world, Swissport International manages baggage, passenger and cargo processing. With over 33,000 employees they are the global leader in this segment. For a company of this size, with its high standardization and regulated processes, it is challenging to poignantly communicate its uniqueness.

Swissport came to us with the assignment to develop several one- to two-minute multimedia productions demonstrating the capabilities and unique offerings of the company. One multimedia animation was meant to demonstrate how an airplane can be effectively processed and turned around in just 25 minutes. Another had to cover the management of multiple airplanes in a large airport. A third animation was dedicated to hub management using the example of a transferring passenger.

Our concept comprised of detailing the activities of various teams at Swissport on one hand, whilst on the other conveying this emotively through appropriate imagery. Every animation shows multiple processes functioning in parallel, and each of the four animations needed to flow on from the other. Swissport used these animations in their successful tender reply at Brussels Airport. Since then we have also completed similar animations for an assignment with Swissport in South Africa.

Implementation: blueforest, Design and Media Office, Bad Zurzach

This is only one example for a multimedia production. Please contact us for more samples.
